The modern centre, next to Plaza del Castillo and the bullring. Every event is a few minutes away on foot, and nights tend to be a bit quieter.
Residential districts full of holiday apartments, a walk away from the Old Town. A good choice for groups who want more space for less.
Across the River Arga, below the old city walls. Cheaper and well connected to the centre.
Towns right next to Pamplona, linked by the city bus (the "villavesa"). Lower prices and a quieter base to sleep.

In our own search for July 6–8, 2027 (two nights, two adults, Old Town), the hotels and apartments on the map cost between about 890 € and 1,900 € in total, roughly 220–475 € per person per night, and that was nine months in advance. Prices drop the further you move from the Old Town and after the first weekend. Hostel dorm beds usually cost 60–100 € a night during the fiestas. Full breakdown in how much San Fermín costs.
You don't need to sleep in the Old Town to enjoy the nights. During San Fermín, most city bus lines (the villavesas) run around the clock, with detours around the Old Town during the fireworks and concerts. Taxis are scarce at peak times and ride-hailing apps are not available in Pamplona, so check the bus line from your accommodation before booking. More in how to get to (and around) Pamplona.
Every year some people sleep in parks or in their car. It is cheap but not a good idea: thefts are common, nights can be cold and you will not rest. If you do, use the paid luggage storage and the municipal public baths, and keep your documents on you. Read parking, campervans and sleeping in your car for the rules. Our practical tips and safety guide have more advice.
